Early Nationals Registration

The SCTP is doing the early registration again this year. I don’t have all the details however it’s my understanding that they plan to open registration up in April. I need everyone to start thinking about if you are going to Nationals this year. Athletes who do not participate in the early registration may not be able to be squadded with the rest of the team.

The Trap portion of Nationals typically runs at the end of the week…July 18-20. If your mind is made up either way, a quick reply to this email sharing your intentions would be greatly appreciated.

Nationals Hotel Information

I was not able to book a block of rooms for Nationals this year. If you plan on going to Nationals in July, you should start looking around now.

Nationals Camping Information

If you are interested in camping at Nationals, you need you to call the Cardinal Center as soon as possible. A group of 6-8 families have secured their sites already. I’m not sure if anything is still available but you may get lucky if you act fast.

Update SCTP Coaches Paperwork

The SCTP has a new way of doing coach’s renewals this year. Active coaches from last year should have received an email that kicks off the process. Please refer to the following instructions SCTP Coaches SHOT System Renewal Process.

Sponsors and Donations

As I’m sure you can understand, it takes a lot of resources to run a quality youth program like ours so Mason-Dixon is continually looking for additional partners and sponsors to help keep the costs down for our athletes and parents. The registration fees our athletes pay cover only a fraction of the true cost associated with participating in our program. Without the help we receive from our supporters many of the athletes in our program couldn’t afford to participate in the Shooting Sports. Remember, every dollar we raise goes right back to the team and since we are a 501c3, donations to the team can be tax deductible.

This year we have three ways you can help!! We would appreciate each family participating in at least one of the following fundraisers.

  1. Gun Raffle – MARLIN MODEL 795

Jefferson Sportsmen’s Association special raffle for benefit of the Mason-Dixon Clay Busters is ongoing.

Drawing to be held at the Jefferson Sportsmen’s Association Clubhouse at 7pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Ticket are still available. Donation: $2 per ticket or 7 for $10. Help us make this fundraiser a success!!! For more information, download our Marlin Model 795 Raffle Ticket Order Form

  1. T-shirt Sponsors

We would like to offer any vendor or business an opportunity to sponsor our team this year. The team will wear your business name on the back of our sponsor t-shirts providing visibility for your business at local, State and National Competitions, as well as around town. The sponsor fees will fund the purchase of the t-shirts and provide funding for our end of year team awards. The cost of a business card size advertisement block is $100. You may combine blocks to create a larger ad for your company logo if you would like. For more information, download our 2019 SHIRT SPONSOR FORM

  1. General Fund Donations

While businesses that sell shooting supplies are a perfect fit, don’t limit yourself to those. A local business whose owner supports the shooting sports and/or youth activities might be an ideal candidate. The person who owns an auto parts store or hair salon might be an avid shooter or 2nd Amendment supporter who would be proud to be associated with a youth shooting team.
