Thirty-one of Mason-Dixon’s best traveled to Elysburg Pennsylvania for the PA SCTP & AIM Trap Championships.
First up was Saturday’s PA SCTP Championship. Our Open squad comprising of Matt Mills, David Bell, Hunter Orr, Robbie Carpenter, and Oliver Fromm took home 3rd place. Individual winners on Saturday included Nathan Metzger as 1st Place in the Collegiate division.
Next up was Sunday’s PA AIM Championship. The AIM competition differs from the SCTP as its categories are based on age. Our squads shot very well in this very competitive AIM event. Our Junior Gold squad of Nathan Metzger, Eric Inch, Sarah Simmons, Emily Simmons, Eric Inch, and David Bell took home third place.
Sunday’s AIM event also saw two Clay Busters win individual awards. Nathan Metzger won second place in the Junior Gold division while Noah Temple brought home First Place in the Junior division!
In addition to the SCTP and AIM youth shoots, the ATA’s Colonial Classic was held over the weekend. Two of your athletes took home awards. David Bell was the C Class champion and after a shoot-off Nathan Metzger took home Junior Gold runner-up!!!

While some of you move on to Sporting Clays this weekend, others will set their sights on the SCTP National Team Championship in July. Whatever you have on your schedule this summer I hope you carve out some time to continue practicing!
